Location Newark, NJ
We are currently seeking a Full-Time experienced EHS Engineer to provide overall leadership to assigned manufacturing facilities in the Eastern United States and provide support for corporate EHS initiatives. The position is located in the Newark, NJ area and requires travel up to 30% including worldwide travel up to 5%. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and with corporate EHS standards. Duties also include planning, developing, and delivery of safety training and management of hazardous & non-hazardous waste, air quality and water quality programs.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who possesses problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills to direct the activities of our manufacturing facilities as they relate to environmental and safety operations. In addition, the ideal candidate will have seven or more years of combined progressive responsibility for health, safety and environmental programs in multi-site manufacturing environments.
Qualifications and Skills
A minimum educational background must include a Bachelor’s degree in environmental, safety, engineering or science.
Knowledge of and experience with U.S. environmental and safety regulations at both the federal and state level, as well as major international regulations such as REACH, ROHS, WEEE, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
Experience with emergency operations and development of contingency plans.
Hands-on expertise in all areas of EHS.
Willing and able to implement EHS solutions without relying on others.
